Cocopah Tribe welcomes new teachers
THE COCOPAH INDIAN TRIBE RECENTLY WELCOMED 20 NEW TEACHERS in the Somerton Elementary School District in an event that included a tour of the Cocopah Musem and a presentation to the educators about the tribe and its government. The tribe, whose children attend Somerton elementary schools in grades kindergarten through eighth, extends the welcome to new teachers at the start of each new academic program.
