For the second year in a row, ABC News presents this twohour special that honors the history and significance of Juneteenth — also known as Freedom Day — the annual holiday marking the anniversary of the 1865 emancipation of slaves in the United States. This presentation, which includes intimate storytelling, powerful tributes and special musical performances, also celebrates the resilience of the Black community in America.

Victoria (Mallory Jansen), an event planner, is thrilled that her best friend is getting married in Paris, and she can’t wait to put her own design stamp on the nuptials. Her joyous anticipation of the big day is dampened, however, when Victoria learns her ex-boyfriend will be in attendance, with a date in tow. Determined not to be caught at a social disadvantage, Victoria moves swiftly to reconnect with a childhood pen pal (Josh Sasse) in France after several years in this 2021 romance.

Hart’s (voice of Maya Rudolph) birthday is coming up in the series finale, “Betty’s Birthday,” but the occasion sparks a lively family debate on a key issue: Just how old is Betty, anyway? Meanwhile, Wayne (voice of Ike Barinholtz) manages to talk his relatives into taking a trip in an RV that he got for free. What could possibly go wrong?

9 p.m. on AMC Kevin Can F... Himself

Annie Murphy, who won an Emmy for her performance in the dysfunctional family comedy “Schitt’s Creek,” returns to series TV is this decidedly darker comedy that pays tribute to an often onedimensional stock character: the Sitcom Wife. Murphy stars as Allison McRoberts, a smart beauty who is married to the far less attractive and boorish Kevin (Eric Petersen) until the day she finally wakes up and revolts against her relentlessly male-dominated life.

Monday 9:01 p.m. on HGTV Celebrity IOU

The new episode “Kris Jenner’s Backyard Retreat Surprise” finds the longtime Kardashian family “momager” and daughters Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner teaming up with hosts Jonathan and Drew Scott to surprise a long-time family friend, Lisa, with a showstopping renovation. Through both good times and bad, Kris and Lisa have seen each other through everything over the past 40 years.

10 p.m. on FOOD Grill of Victory

Home cooks with a passion for barbecue go head to head with other backyard enthusiasts, vying to win the ultimate outdoor kitchen of their dreams in this new cooking competition. In each episode, host and judge Sabin Lomac tasks three meat masters to prove their mettle in a trio of grilling challenges.

A rotating panel of judges including Susie Bulloch, Darrell Ferguson, Tregaye Fraser and Christian Petroni evaluate their efforts. In the opener, “It’s Not the Destination, It’s the Journey,” the competitors take on Southern chicken and coastal cuisine.

Tuesday 9:01 p.m. on KYMA College Bowl

Three-person teams from some of the nation’s top schools battle it out for scholarships in a bracketed tournament over four rounds in this new academic competition. Members of each team work together to answer questions on a wide variety of subjects, with the eventual top two schools advancing to the finals, where they face off for the College Bowl trophy and a scholarship. Former football superstar Peyton Manning serves as host, with his older brother Cooper as a sidekick and co-host.

10 p.m. on FREE Motherland: Fort Salem

Raelle, Tally and Abigail (Taylor Hickson, Jessica Sutton, Ashley Nicole Williams) confront higher stakes, dangerous magic and a new threat from The Camarilla, an ancient group of witch-finders, as this supernatural drama launches Season 2 with a premiere called “Of the Blood.” Despite that unwelcome new menace, however, the discovery of new witches gives Gen. Sarah Alder (Lyne Renee) newfound hope. Elsewhere, as Tally struggles with her role as a Buddy,

Raelle and Abigail return to Fort Salem with their mysterious new abilities.

Wednesday 8 p.m. on CW In the Dark

Season 2 of this mystery thriller saw Murphy, Jess and Felix (Perry Mattfeld, Brooke Markham, Morgan Krantz) getting tangled up in drug dealing and money laundering, but by season’s end Murphy was heading toward a lucky break — at least until Josh (Theodore Bhat) pieced together her role in the shady proceedings. The new season opens with “Hanging by a Thread,” which finds Murphy, Jess and Felix forced to make life-changing decisions. Meanwhile, Officer Gene Clemons (Matt Murray) forms an unlikely partnership with Josh (Theodore Bhat).

9 p.m. on KYMA The Blacklist

Season 8 of this very dark crime drama concludes with a finale called “Konets,” in which Red Reddington (James Spader) makes one of his most disturbing requests yet to Liz (Megan Boone), which given past history is really saying something. His leverage? Finally revealing the truth to her about his complicated identity. .

7 p.m. on NAT GEO Impact With Gal Gadot

The star of “Wonder Woman” hosts this new short-form documentary series that spotlights six women working to improve their communities around the world, in such diverse settings as Brazil, Puerto Rico and four U.S. states. Among the women featured are a 20-yearold Detroit figure-skating coach who trains young girls of color and helps empower them on and off the ice; the first female chief of a Native American tribe in Louisiana helping her people fight climate change; and a woman who uses “surf therapy” to help others recover from loss.
