The lowdown:

Julia was the second-highest placer of any local girl at the AIA state tournament, coming in fourth. She advanced to state after pinning Rayna Anaya, of Mohave, in the Division I Section VIII championship match. Her season included an 18-7 record, second-place finishes at the Battle of the Kingdom and Escondido tourneys and a third-place finish at the Eagle Invitational.
