John, who had the second-best scoring average in the area (44.3), was extremely consistent, as 10 of his 12 rounds for the season were 44 or below, and he never shot worse than 48. He had a season-low round of 42, which he shot twice. At the YUHSD Championship, John helped Gila Ridge easily win the team title by finishing fifth individually.
