Alexis Griffin

Gila Ridge junior

The lowdown:

Alexis’ season-best times in the 50 free (27.74) and 100 fly (1:09.76) both ranked first on Gila Ridge. At the Colorado River Championships, Alexis took third in both the 50 free and the 100 fly, while also helping the Hawks win the 200 free relay and finish second in the 400 free relay.

Coach Greg Brown:

“Lexi had tough choices this year in events, deciding between butterfly and backstroke as well as what sprint to focus on. She rose to every challenge presented before her and was able to persevere again and again. She was a leader on the relays and continued to show why in her senior season she will be a major player at Gila Ridge as they look to continue their strong traditions.”
