Mary Amador

San Pasqual senior guard

The lowdown:

Mary’s efforts helped San Pasqual to a 10-4 regular season. The point guard had a season-high 35 points in a January win over Bagdad, which helped her win the 1A West Region Player of the Year honors. Mary averaged 22.6 points, 7.7 rebounds and 4.7 steals per logged game this year. She’ll continue her basketball career next year at SAGU American Indian College.

Coach Patricia Malvido:

“Mary’s drive and motivation was a huge factor in the success the team found this year. She was not only a stat stuffer, but also a practice player who set a great example for our young team. All the time and preparation she dedicated paid off. Thank you for your efforts Mary and good luck at SAGU!”
