The lowdown:

Transitioning to point guard as a senior, Veronica led YC in points (13.4), assists (5.4) and steals (4.5) per game. She helped the Shamrocks go 15-2 in the regular season and reach the second round of the 3A state tournament. Coach Bob McGalliard:

“Veronica is an offensive machine in the game of basketball. Whether it is a drive to the basket or a behind-the-back pass to a teammate for a layup she can do it all on the offensive end of the court. As a shooter V (as we call her) can drain a three in transition or pull up from the elbow and hit a shot in our half court offense.

But what sets her apart from other guards is her ability to handle the ball.

She is a one person press break that leads to easy baskets in transition for her teammates. Her work ethic has made her a great basketball player and even a better person.”
